General Partner (“GP”) Advisory
Houlihan Lokey’s General Partner Advisory (“GPA”) team is primarily focused on advising private equity firms on minority stake sales (“GP Stakes”). Founded in 2020, Houlihan’s GPA platform has quickly become one of the most active sellers of GP Stakes on the street. The team has closed numerous deals over the past 3 years and is currently engaged to run M&A processes to sell stakes in private equity firms located in the US, UK, Continental Europe and Asia. The GPA team is one of Houlihan’s youngest investment banking businesses.
Job Description
Financial analysts work on transactions that provide exposure to various clients in the private equity industry and to a range of investment banking services, including sell-side and buy-side mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, and strategic consulting. You will work with a talented, dedicated staff of professionals who will give you broad exposure to the many different issues and concerns affecting businesses today. Relevant aptitudes for the job include financial analytics, written and verbal communication, research, and presentation creation skills. In addition, the role is one of Houlihan’s most intensive from a financial modeling perspective – strong skills in Microsoft Excel are required.
Basic Qualifications
- 2+ years of relevant investment banking or similar experience
- An undergraduate degree, including an exemplary academic record, from an accredited institution
- Strong financial modeling experience (Excel)
- Experience across all aspects of the Microsoft Office suite (i.e. PowerPoint and Word)
- Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with all levels of staff
- Proficient analytical/quantitative and technical abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Passed CFA Level I (or higher)
- Relevant valuation experience
- Strong public speaking and presentation skills
Salary Range
Houlihan Lokey is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive total compensation package, which may include other components such as discretionary incentive compensation. The firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the possible salary range for this role at the time of posting is:
$105,000.00-$125,000.00
Actual salary at the time of hire may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant qualifications, skills, and experience and the location where this position may be filled.
